Alan Lane

Alan Lane is Artistic Director of Slung Low, directing all the company’s previous work including: Mapping the City (Cultural Olympiad); Anthology (Liverpool Everyman); The Knowledge Emporium (Gate Theatre); Captain Barbi, They Only Come at Night: Visions and Helium (Barbican Centre); Beyond the Front Line and They Only Come at Night: Resurrection (Lowry Theatre); Last Seen (Almeida Theatre); Small Worlds (Fuse Theatre, Liverpool 08); Time at Moghul Gardens (Bradford Festival) and 1139 Miles.

Other directing credits include; The Count of Monte Cristo and Bus (West Yorkshire Playhouse); The Wind in the Willows (Latitude Festival/NSDF ensemble); Sigernost (National Theatre of Croatia); Lostlings (Almeida Projects); How to Build A Time Machine (tour); Love in a Shining City (reading, University of Southern Florida) and A Verse and A Chorus (Hen and Chicken’s Theatre).

He was resident assistant Director to Ian Brown at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in 2005-2006.
He was co-curator with Kully Thiarai of the Transform Festival at the WYP.

He is a selector for the National Student Drama Festival.
